I have a lot of fond memories of winter.

And when I was growing up, I grew up in a very cold area of the United States.

So, we did a lot of outside activities and winter sports.

It's funny when I was a child, I don't ever remember getting cold.

Yes, it's very cold, and we used to get lots of lots of snow.

We spent a lot of time outside, and there was something that we used to do.

And we used to go ice-skating a lot.

And we would get very very worn out from ice skating so much.

Throwing snowballs is always fun in the winter.

We used to do sledding, and we used to do some tubing.

Another popular way to go down a snow packed hill was to take a piece of cardboard, a big piece of cardboard, and just slide down the hill on that.

That was probably more inexpensive than buying a sled.

But we used to sled a lot. And I used to convince my older brother and older sister to pull me the sled down the street or down the alley if it was snow packed.

When I was a little child the plastic little saucers that you sat on if your legs folded up, those weren't as popular because plastic hadn't really come about as much as the traditional sled.

And that's probably what maybe most people are used to those kinds of sleds.

But as time evolved, the plastic saucer type round shaped sled came about.

We never used the snowshoes.

We wore our boots a lot though to go through the snow.

And the snow always went inside our boots, and our feet would get all wet from being out in the snow.

We used to always build a snowman.

And we take pieces of coal and put them for his eyes, and we always took a carrot and made that for his nose.

We always decorated him. We put a little scarf on him, and we always kept a hat so that we could put it on his little head because we felt like his head got cold out there.

Another thing we used to do when I was a child, the snow would melt or the ice would melt, and it would hang from the gutters.

The icicles would hang from the gutters. And we'd always try to figure out how we could knock down the icicles because then we could suck on the icicles.

I guess back in those days we didn't worry about pollution and all of that kind of thing.
